Bead Board
Bead board is an inexpensive but highly durable style of paneling. It is typically seen in rustic or in traditional style bathrooms.  Due to its durability, bead board can also be painted so you can get creative with it.  For country style or themed bathrooms, adding floor to ceiling paneled walls can create that vintage effect.  For modern style bathrooms, you can add bead board as an accent to accentuate the fixtures and fittings.  If you have basic experience remodeling you can install it yourself to reduce your costs.

Linoleum Flooring
Linoleum flooring is a very inexpensive alternative to ceramic floor tile.  Traditional linoleum flooring while effective was not as durable and wore out very quickly.  Modern style linoleum is not only more durable but comes in hundreds of styles.  Including designs that resemble ceramic floor tiles and even hardwood flooring.  Using linoleum flooring is a great way to add style to your bathroom at a significantly lower cost than ceramic or wood flooring.

Up-cycling is one of the latest trends in the going green movement.  It essentially means taking something old and used and creating a better use for it.  For example, how about taking tan old chest of drawers that you are no longer using and creating a stylish vanity.  There are ways to really get creative and make something that is awesome and unique.  An excellent way to create something to look great in your bathroom while doing your part to help save our planet.
